We have just begun reading The Pink Motel by Carol Ryrie Brink for our first read-aloud. Don't laugh at the silly name because this book is actually an exciting mystery. Our first read-aloud genre is mystery, and we will read several more mysteries before moving on to a new genre. Be prepared to solve the clues, children!
